I had assumed the 'Raja Yoga' the Master D.K. references throughout His books refer to the techniques unique to that particular form of yoga, such as expounded in sections of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. It has only dawned on me lately that the 'Raja Yoga' He refers to has nothing to do with posture, breathwork and emotional equanimity, or any specific religious Practice. Instead, it has to do with emotional idealism and mental creativity, and the inspiration that emerges from an integrated, self-actualizing Personality. More specifically, it has to do with Triadal[i] Inspiration impacting the consciousness of such a Personality. In this context, I believe Raja Yoga is already being widely practised by scientists, economists, educators, politicians, entrepreneurs and philanthropists, and numerous individuals in whom the Kama-Manas Unit[ii] is active and creative and the Buddhi-Manas[iii] is active.
